Hey there, I have my steel protective devices on so if you need to bring it I'm ready lol. In reading many replies to questions that are asked, I'm seeing something very disturbing. To be blunt...this isn't English 101. We are not helping by telling them they need to use better grammar etc. You understood enough to reply. Many may have English as a second language, so how is correcting them helping their need? To me its hurtful when you are reaching out for help, and that takes guts to begin with, and get degraded, so why do it? We don't grade them? We help. right? My personal opinion and don't blast me too hard. Lose the corrections, they feel bad enough. Focus on the problem and helping them. Again you have no idea who these people are, could be disabled, couldn't have the benefit of the educations we have, or again English is a second language. Ok blast me now lol. Penny

It has slowed down quite a bit. I eventually got a Homestead and a Sim where I can reboot when I need to. On some occasions and dont quote me, but if I log out and log in, it seems as if I hit a less active server and it moves faster. Most sims even mine I can run Ultra, however I have another setting called "SL is being a PITA". I lower the draw to 128, take down the fluffies like terrain, shadows etc. ( I leave the LOD at least at 3.85), and drop the setting to High and 1/2 or just high. Threats, harassment, computer virus attack, and now thanks to one "woman" three of them hacked my Facebook account took my ID , created 8 or 9 accounts, then did one of the nastiest things ever. They used my ID to create a text to a nice older lady (mother to a friend) some nasty remarks. So bad she wont tell us. Linden Labs disclosed it would only be tried in one jurisdiction. California...the toughest state of 49 that makes these people held accountable. Big fat felony, fines of upwards of 250,000 depending on what legal paper you are reading. These all fall under Federal law. FBI file a IC3, careful once you file it you cant take it back. FTC and Department of Justice are also able to help. BBB is piling up more complaints. Its the net era people, just because its a "game" no longer makes these acts fluff. They are real and effect the rest of your lives. How many people have been fired for posting on Facebook? As for the real working world, try passing a background check when you have a complaint against you for violation of the Right to Privacy Act. And that goes over really well at family reunions. It's not easy, and Linden will make you file an inworld report every darn time. So I do, then submit a ticket. Maybe one day Linden will understand they are enabling these people to commit crimes. Hi Lindal, There have been some very good legal papers written specifically referring to Linden Labs and its growing legal issues not as the one who is doing the defamation, libel, slander and gas lighting. However they are beginning to look at them as facilitators of illegal acts. As Cyber liability grows more legal issues arise. In re-reviewing the TOS 6.1,(iv) (iv) Post, display, or transmit Content (including any communication(s) with employees of Linden Lab) that is harmful, threatening or harassing, defamatory, libelous, false, inaccurate, misleading, or invades another person's privacy. In reviewing more of the TOS 6.2 is also a crime. Now so more than ever. Thanks to someone in world that took it upon herself to take an altered notecard and passed it to 30 people. (Use Gyazo please), this person was "helping" who she thought I was giving a hard time. What she didn't know is I was a victim of one man who every time I blocked a account, he would create a new one. So far he has opened and closed as far as I can count 36 or so. What scares me is some of these accounts are as old as 6-8 years. However it went in to "real world". They got my Facebook information and stole my ID to commit fraud. One of them had not only griefed my sim, killing animals for a children's zoo, but they added a little something. A virus, one that anytime you plugged into the ethernet (COM Surrogate) it gives the computer a virus. 4 computers destroyed. They also used Facebook to create 8 or 9 fake accounts, and the worst thing. They send a text message to a friends mother using my name. TOS or Code of Conduct makes no difference, they can "disclaim" all they want, it is a Federal Offense to violate your privacy, on or off the net. . Searching the web the legal papers using LL as an example is sad. FTC has numerous complaints regarding Privacy, Identity and Online Security. Not to mention the growing Cyberstalking, Cyberharassment, Defamation, Libel, Slander, and hacking of computers. Those fall under the FBI- you can file a IC3 but make sure that's what you want to do. Once its filed it can't be retracted. One blessing, in the TOS it advises it jurisdiction is in California, love those celebrities. California is the toughest state in the US against these types of offenses. The last information I found Is cyber harassment a federal crime? Cyberstalking is a criminal offense under American anti-stalking, slander, and harassment laws. A conviction can result in a restraining order, probation, or criminal penalties against the assailant, including jail. LL cant and doesn't have the manpower to check all ids. They rely on that tiny little print saying we read it, like anyone does, but you all may not now this but anyone under the age of 18 cant be held to any written contract. So they have no recourse. The owner agreed to uphold the TOS and violation gets him outted. If not there would be huge sign on them saying "Kids avi's welcome" . That is an educated constructive rebuttal.
