Hello residents, I am starting this topic because I do not where to start. I would like to become a second life designer for clothes and lingerie. The fact is that I do not know where to start. I have reached out to some fashion designers but... too bad. Is there someone who can tell me if Marvelous designer is a good program to start with? I do have the knowledge of different patterns and stuff. I have read many blogs and most of them say that Blender is the thing for a starter. Blender is not really my thing. Very complicated, as far as my opinion. I have been offline for a long time because of real life problems. Second Life has changed a lot. I see many different types of bodies and heads. How do you create clothes for all those different bodies? I really do not know where to start this journey... But I really am ready to start the journey. Hope to hear from you soon! Kind regards! Insurance? Yeah right... They only pay €250 because they are never sure that it was stolen. We can show the bills of the purchase. But this is the way the insurance thinks... Some people are faking a burglary to get money from the insurance. So we only get €250. So yes, it is a question for residents. I want to know if they would support something like that. And as you can see, the anwer is no... So case closed!

Hey residents, I have a problem. Some of you may need to see my last question here. That question was about some advice for a new computer. Two weeks after I got tips from other residents. I ordered an Alienware area-51, this computer had cost me €6500 ($7150). Three weeks ago... I had some unfriendly visitors at home. In other words, there was a burglary. They only took my computer, tv and some jewels of my mother. Our dog was poisoned with antifreeze. Thanks to our neighbours who saw later that day that our front door was open. My dog was saved and is healthy again. My question is, would you support an indiegogo project to collect money to buy me a new computer. Or is that idea way too stupid? A friend of mine came with that idea... I am an amateur photographer on weddings,... so I can not do my job. (Which is my only income as a student.) Would you support a project like that? Dear residents, This character is very new here on Second Life. But no worry, I'm using Second life since 2009. So I know how Second Life is, and how it works. I owned a store a couple years ago, and now I would like to start over again. Only I do have one problem. I need to buy a new computer. My laptop asked me to let him die in peace... And so I did this morning. So as you see... I really need a new computer. What would I do with my new computer? Well... I would use it to play Second Life. Also I would love to play other games on that computer. I would love to use other programs like Blender and Maya. just to design some mesh clothes for Second Life. Oh... I almost forgot it... I need to work for school on that computer. It would be nice if some of you could tell me what to buy. I want a good computer and not to expensive. Since I am a student, I don't have that much money. But... The fact is, I want to buy a descent computer. I don't want to play any games with to much lag or crashing. And I think I will buy a desktop, because I could change some parts when something is broken or too old. Maybe you could use some information about my (old) laptop? Thanks Freya! I know the marketplace, and I bought some stuff already. But I still can't create a store on the marketplace. So that's the problem. I live in Europe, so buying lindens from Second Life would be a bit difficult it think...

Heey residents! Can someone tell me what I have to do to create my own store? 'Use your payment method for a transaction. Transactions include making a Marketplace purchase or a Linden dollar (L$) purchase on the LindeX.' I don't know or even understand what I have to do. Could someone help? Thanks!
