So half of my sim (sky) is adult, and half of it is residential. So now my kids can't even come home anymore without changing. Nice policy.

If the entire estate is moderate, as per the FAQ, you may have adult furniture and since your adult stuff is in the sky, your children wouldn't be near any of it if in the residential (ground) area, right?  What would be reported?

  2. Q: If someone is walking through a region wearing exposed genitalia and walks past me (a child avatar), will I be in trouble if someone takes a picture and reports me?

A: No, our investigative process can determine accidental exposure. Again, child avatars should not be engaging or participating in any event or location where nudity and/or sexual activity is present, encouraged and/or expected. The presence of adult content does not warrant the expectation of use.

I don't think the premise of the thread is bad. It's why and from whom it was started that makes it..ironic.  I don't believe that the thread was made to bring attention to needing more kindness on the forum.  With moderation of the forum how unkind can you really be anyway?

No one said he wasn't fun and if I spent time in world I'd probably have a blast too but it's also hard to ignore someone who has a monopoly of one liners on every single thread for no other reason than to bring attention to themselves. I suppose he simply could be just bored.

The premise is a good one and came about from Gopi's thread.  The people Gopi finds to be unkind or disagreeable are not the same people I find to be unkind or disagreeable.  I probably have different criteria for that.   Some people respond more harshly than other, sure.  We all have our own style.  Love has his, I have mine, you have yours.  It's what makes a well-rounded forum, IMO.

  4. Residents presenting as Child Avatars shall be prohibited from the following:

Entering any Region rated Adult. Residents must change to a non-child or non-childlike avatar to visit Adult rated regions.

Engaging or participating in any event or location where nudity and/or sexual activity is present, encouraged and/or expected.

Wearing genital/sexual attachments including clothing, attachments or HUDs created for and/or worn by child avatars to indicate genitalia, whether visible or not.

Being fully nude. Child avatar content creators are required to add a modesty layer which is baked into child avatar skins or bodies, is not transparent, does not match the skin tone, and may not be removed.

Child avatars where the focal point of the body is on the breasts, pelvis, or buttocks

Participation in lewd or sexual acts in which one or more of the avatars appears to represent minors (or the depiction of such acts in images, video, textures, or text).

  5. It's kind of ironic that the most posts in this thread, aside from Love's, are from people who have already said they don't pay much attention to what he posts.  As most of those posts are somewhat unkind, what does that tell ya?   Are they posting simply to be unkind?

I like Love.  He's fun and after spending a few hours with him inworld one day, I'd consider him a friend.  Do I read every single post he makes?  Nope, but then I don't read every single post from anyone really.  I skip over a lot.  Quite easy to do.  It's also helpful to just ignore those whose opinion or posting style you dislike.

I still think you may be viewing this issue through an Advanced User or Creator goggles.

Not really an advanced user per se, although I've been here for years.  I'm also not a creator nor do I wish to be.  Not my thing.  But, when I buy that table with an assortment of items on top, I'd like to be able to remove that lamp and use another or whatever else I might like to swap out.  Nothing really advanced about that at all.

I bought a console awhile back with linked items on top.  I didn't mind the items but I did want to tint the lamp shades to match the rest of my bedroom set.  It was mod so it was a simple process.  No need for scripts or a hud or any of that.  I edited linked parts, blah blah blah, done.

Open a Support ticket anyway and just pick some random category - something that has to do with your account.  Then give the details in the description.

Sometimes the annoying trash next door is owned by more than one annoying trash panda, the drag-a-box method works too, open an edit window, click and drag a box round a bunch of trash, shift right click on 1 more, derender...

Thanks again.  I'll have to use that method on my newer neighbors with the pink everything fetish.  I also wish there was some way to derender permanently those items that are using a rezzer.

Irritated this morning. I started to delete an ugly parcel border and it's all individual pieces. Did they put it all out then delink it or did they actually put it out one by one?  Why oh why can't we have a derender and blacklist for an owner?  I just want the ability to wipe it all away with a click.  Been at it for 10 mins and haven't gotten halfway around yet. Grrr....

You can mass derender items by using Area Search and putting in the name of the avatar who owns the items.  If it's multiple owners, just repeat the process.

    risk the consequences

As I said, the consequences are usually just the removal of the post as off-topic or something innocuous.   Unless it's something truly offensive in nature, not sure I see the problem.

Last warning I got was for posting inappropriate language.  Oopsie!  I think it was an azzhat picture.

I could post truth about many issues, and defo get piled on and reported

I'm guessing they're YOUR truths or what most people call, opinions.  If they're SL related, I don't see why a mod would remove them.  If you're talking opinions on RL issues, then you have a problem.  We just had a handful of RL issue posts removed this morning for being...RL posts.  A few of mine included.

Pointing, laughing, and pushing back is not the problem, the problem is that some people in here look for any excuse to report a post in the hopes of getting the author in trouble.

Don’t want to get in trouble? just nod and agree.

But, thats not just in here is it?

I've had quite a few of my posts removed.  I'd assume because someone reported them.  That's fine by me if they were off topic or not allowed.   A mod isn't going to remove a post simply because it's reported.  If it's something against the rules, yes.  Read the rules.  I know full well some of mine will be reported and removed.   Most times, in the last few years anyway, there are no ramifications.  The mods just remove it.  I've had exactly 3 slaps from mods since I started posting here.

  13. A lot of times, there are things I'd love to say but it's not because the 'hive mind' would disagree but because it's against the forum rules.   I do sometimes post things against the rules which are then removed.  Such is life.   Maybe stop to think about why people push back instead of assuming there's some grand conspiracy against a specific person.   If you keep posting drek or stir the pot, people WILL point and laugh or push back.  That's not an SL forum exclusive thing by any means.

I think the reason they let you use the tilla money for services, is because, you aren't removing money from the service, but putting it back into the service.

If it was real world usable money at the tilla dollar, besides usable within the service..  you would have to pay either income tax or property tax on it right after the linden dollar exchange.

It may be looked as even a reinvestment.

I'm not saying Tilia is a bank in any way but the money in your Tilia account IS real money just like in a bank.

If you have money in your PayPal account (from Tilia transfer) and the bill you wish to pay does not accept PayPal, you then need to transfer that money to your bank account. PayPal charges a fee for instant transfers.  With Thunes, we should be able.to move the USD balance directly to our bank account.  It's the same money as before just without the PayPal/skrill middleman.
