  1. You might bite the bullet but people don't like to be paying so much money for things in general, especially when everything in IRL sucks right now. I don't think Buying an A.P. or purchasing an A.V. would be good right now. It would make sense in the future, when things are more affordable.
  2. I know a lot of people who is a Maitreya that want to try Legacy and they say Legacy is too expensive 5000 or 5,500L$? That's like 22.27$ or 24.49$ People don't even want to spend 25$ for the body they want, I don't see people buying AP and A.V. Ontop charging L and or paying a premium every month and if they're paying for a sim every month.
  3. Went to go check, Purchase of Age Verification was 6$ A.P was sold one time at 20$ You used your Credit Card, so your info would be there because you have proof you're of age through that. Idk how this will help Second life Because people already complain about second life being expensive and adults having to to give another 26$ and some of us pay a tier and have premium+ ontop of that and there are some people who pay 400$ a month for a sim, that's more money... Would be fine if the economy was better but everything is really expensive, so idk how it'll help Child Avatars or Adult Avatars.
  4. No, I don't remember it having a picture ID because I purchased for a friend and I. We both went to the same highschool
  5. Oh, I forgot all about that, I purchased one, like 14 years ago? something like that. I'm not sure if that will help anything if Child avatars are all adults irl. If they have the same thing, then they can just buy the AP. They will still have access to the entire grid, just now LL know their adults like before.
  6. I'm trying to figure out what you're talking about, a virtual platform that actually does Age Verifying and coming up with nothing. Is it one that you need to buy equipment for?
  7. Even if they do come out with, again, with Age Verification I.D. they have my info already.
  8. I've already said that I did not believe the blog from the Medium, because there was not a lot of evidence to back up what was said, outside of a bunch of store items and avatars just at a beach. I don't believe the allegations were real and I believe it was one big troll to get everyone upset and Linden Lab for some reason or another. Either they were trying to make LL lose Residents, get it shut down or thought it would make people quit. This is my opinion. But It got a lot of attention and probably overseas and because linden don't want to upset its partners, they are putting a censorship over child avatars.
  9. ~ To me, If It's marketed as a child avatar, then it's a child avatar. That should be the line that is drawn. Market the body as child, then it is a child avatar even though people are going to tell me "Well, Maitreya can be made into a child avatar" It's marketed as an adult body. When you go to their store, you see the body on the wall and it's an adult body, It's not a child's body. Now some people are like "Well, Maitreya should have a modesty layer" I don't wear Maitreya but I don't think it is Maitreya's fault or responsibility to cover someone's butt because they made an adult body to represent a child avatar, when it's an adult body. Same with Legacy, Reborn, Kupra and several other adult bodies. Child avatars are bodies like: • Rebirth • TotsiTeen • Toddledoo • Tweenster • Bebe and bodies like that, why? because they are marketed as child bodies, child avatars. Except Rebirth which is a hybrid body but it has a child body in it, by label. Same with child head vs adult heads. If it's an adult head, it should be looked at as an adult head. If it's a child's head, it should be looked at as a child's head. You don't have to agree with it but that's my opinion, because if you're marketing something as something, going to take that at face value and see it as such. AK makes child heads and you can tell that they are heads for children.
  10. ~ You didn't say anything about 7 year old accounts when you said about this before You just said and I quote "I can go and have done to head to the SL welcome area where I can see badly created adults fully nude, with all female and male appendages as the first thing a newcomer sees." • If it's a 7 year old account, my guess is either they are returning and relearning second life, or They're trolls and trolls troll in every platform, rather we like it or not. They are very hard to deal with. Not to mention, there are VPNs, and there are Backdoors. Even if you were to implement something, someone can still, if skilled enough, get that information. They did it with several like Netflix, Sony, Crunchyroll for example, all experienced a data breach. I believe that Linden Labs are good as they are and they are regulating what they need to more, they censored child avatars and that is the first step to moving forward.
  11. I never said you rezzed naked. Just like you didn't read my last post, you didn't read what I was replying to. Just going to put you on ignore.
  12. How will those new players learn second life, in a new comer area, if they don't learn how to wear their avatars? Also, if you start IDing people that will only start to drive people off because a lot of people like to protect their information. Though there are some of us that have purchased Linden, you're advocating for the I.D. system that not only failed but You're asking for I.D, Name, Address, Passport, Social Security Numbers or Passport I.D. what will happen when someone Have all that information?
  13. I don't think we were even talking about that, we were talking about as a whole, not A.P.
  14. The reason this is being done is because there is policing involved. They changed the ToS and are policing it more. If Second Life is a world of Fantasy and second life advertises itself as a virtual world where you can be anything, do anything, build anything, create anything. If it's saying "Hey, escape the real world with us for a few hours" If they start to police people as a whole then they would become false advertisement. A lot of people push for it to become reality, and too real pushes people away. Second life hasn't been very newcomer friendly, it separates its users, people tell people how to look still. What head you can wear
  15. Too much policing can lose a large amount of people, especially in a world of Fantasy. If Fantasy becomes too real then it is no longer fantasy, it's just another reality. People escape into fantasy to escape reality.
  16. Everything I've stated is the same as what was stated even back then As I have said before, It is legal in the U.S. but Second Life wants to expand and as I have Stated several times, I am in favor of Second life expanding
  17. I have posted several posts that have said "Second life changed these rules because they want to do business with other countries." Several times. Literally. Your words, even though I said it's not Illegal in the U.S. said it was B.S. when i was talking about the U.S. itself. So You don't understand.
  18. So if someone saw you in real life and threaten to shoot you or someone you know or someone close by in the face, you're saying that that's not only a threat and that it's only for kids? If someone says "I'm going to report you, for fraud if you don't correct this." Is that not a threat? If someone says "I'll wreck your business if this gets out" Is this not a threat? "I'm going to call the police if you don't leave" is this not a threat? "I'd hate that anything were to happen to such a nice person such as you." This not a threat? This is a vague threat. Anyways, Quartz said he doesn't want to close the thread so keep on topic, that's all I said.
  19. No, I understand your point but the moment you said "The E.U don't give a damn about U.S. Laws" made me not give a damn about what you have to say.
  20. What does being adult have to do with threatening? I presented you with evidence and fact about what was said.
  21. Also, if you don't like American Laws, you don't have to play on anything American, just saying. If you cannot respect our Laws, you don't have to join in on anything that we created.
  22. LL is based in America, Therefor, it follows American Rules. You can argue all you want. It doesn't change anything. We already established and agreed to ban A.P. and now they child avatars are now censored, and a lot of us want S.L to grow and have more people so what are you arguing about?
  23. He is clearly saying "I don't want to have to close the thread."
  24. Quartz Mole has posted that he would like to try to keep the thread open so avoid changes of topics.
