If it makes everyone feel better, I am normal. This makes all of you different, edgy, super special, and definitely not normal.

I will take the label "normal" on myself as the standard to which everything else is compared.

If you're not me, you're safe from being normal.

Normal by definition is things that have been like it for a certain time...I'm me 30+ years now so I consider this quite some time, so I guess this means I'm normal XD

  2. I ever since I was in kindergarden had a problem with people, telling me what I have to be. I hated labels, and drawers, drawers are for shirts and boxes are for cats to sit in.

I was also always wondering who defines what is "normal"? Since some people told me to be more "normal". I am me, I don't care if anyone labels me as "normal" or not. It's funny that such discussions always get started late friday ;) much ado about nothing is this post to me.

Go and keep putting yourself in boxes, wrap them with fancy papers and put yourself in some closet and catch dust there, but don't expect others to be that boring too x3

  3. I am a little sad too, that I can not buy certain candy from the 90s in RL...my favest childhood ones.

But that's the way it goes, the world moves on, new standards are set, new technologies being now the status quo.

People often complain that SL is not moving forward and getting more modern, this post here is a reason why.

If you don't want mesh clothing, you will just have a hard time finding some, sadly that's just the thing with time passing. And it's good like that. In RL I won't find any flashy 80s/90s pants easily anymore, I need to sew my own or buy vintage.

Maybe take this as an opportunity to learn something new, how to make your own bom clothes maybe ⁽⁽◝( •௰• )◜⁾⁾

But the freebie places and MP still have some for you I bet. Some things seem to be there for ages x3

  4. I'm neither a fan of furries nor horses but at least they used actual SL footage this time and not some blu- cyborg-whateverness.

They need to keep that up, there are many people making really fantastic videos and pictures within SL, they can utilize that. No need to take fake pictures XD

Now @Strawberry Lindenjust needs to finally start to take non English titled pictured for pics of the day. Many Spanish, Korean, Japanese and more artist out there. But since she overtook such pictures never get considered as it seems, only pictures with English titels... diversity is what makes SL a special place ;)

Not sure if this was specifically in reply to my post about buying my L$ in batches of $200 or more, but I wasn't complaining about it.  However, while the $15 charge is pittance compared to the $200, no matter how well off anyone is, they should still spend their money as smartly as possible.  If I can slow my L$ spending while accumulating more in RL for a larger buy, thus reducing the overall percentage, I am simply being smart and efficient in my spending.

Nah, what you do is awesome and smart I was referring to other people in here. And you didn't even complain ヾ(・ω・*)ノ you just adapted and do it the smart way, that's always awesome.

I entered SL in early 08 and I can promise you  that plenty were rude and nasty back then, too. Remember griefers? They are still around..perhaps a bit more sophisticated, but still getting their jollies by causing trouble for others. Yes, there were a lot of good folks around...creative, artistic,, friendly, warm and cuddly. And those sorts are still around if you go to the right places and do the right things. What I have experienced is that there some who come here to explore, to escape from something in RL that is painful, restrictive, boring, whatever. Some come for sex. Some, once here, realize what an opportunity the place can be for artistic expression, for creativity, and they blossom. Some come here to "play" SL as if it is nothing but another video game. The latter, in my opinion, are usually the rudest, the most unfriendly, and the most apt to cause trouble.  In other words, yeah, things are different...but the potential for personal growth, artistic expression, and damned good fun still abounds. Pick your places and your people and things will seem a lot better..betcha!

Griefers are just bunnyholes, they are always around in any game and even in RL there are such kinds lol. No I meant in general, the internet got a colder place with less excitement...everyone is just hm so used to it or something like that I can not explain well what I mean in English XD but even in japanese it would be hard to explain what I mean .. it's more of a feeling :3

It's easy to cut back yes, but that's also true for the people who create and sell stuff. Some of your favorite creators might/will decide they are not getting enough butter for their efforts and stop. The total amount of butter in SL is not growing, only LL's share of it.

That's how economy works. Everyone needs to decide for themselves, and I really hope that for no one SL is their main household income, because that would be really ...not so clever. And if they decide it's not worth it anymore, well be it. And then maybe LL realizes they earn less if people that sell stuff and pay them percentages leave, and then they'll adjust the fees accordingly...or not. But yes that's economy.

And people atm probably buy less in SL, just like in RL, so in reality probably LLs portion of butter is staying the same thank to the adjustment or got smaller too. Because in RL I have to eat and buy food, SL is not needed so that's where people cut back first.

In RL I pay now like about 400 or rough 500 dollars for food alone..per week, there's no internet, tv, Netflix, kids school stuff and fees and so on included just the food. I could totally cut back and buy cheaper stuff, but atm I'm still buying everything we used to buy x3 but it's my decision. Of course it sucks to pay like double or even more for some things now, even here in Japan things got more expensive. But that's what we all have to deal with sadly. I could cut back on some unnecessary things like candy and such but I don't. But I surely won't blame the supermarket for my bill. Because they pay more for the electricity, employees and stuff they sell too so yeah...it's not LL being evil and trying to hurt us, I bet they really didn't made this decision fast because they knew this will be hard on their residents.

The good news is that mid TP crashes are rare now. I get one or two a week.

But more common now is that when I land, I'm often a pair if eyes, and a ring or two. A forced rebake instantly restores me, but it happens multiple times a week.

Then on Tuesday, don't know what I clicked, but everything in my delivered folder added to my avi, and stripped everything off. It took a while to detach a load of stuff. A relog didn't fix it, even though nothing was saved.

    Just saying!

Omg this sounds wild 🫨 I haven't had that luckily and yes now that you said it I realized that mid TP crashes are super rare now.

What I see more often atm what I haven't seen in quite some time are orange clouds sometimes 🤔
