This may have gone ignored in another topic that dealt with DNS message, so posting it as a main topic for benefit of others, as my other topic on DNS message only got me replies about SL maintanence in GD forum. I have used a proxy server or VPN to watch things not available on regular server abroad, but its suddenly not letting me log into FS or SL viewer and gives the DNS ..blah..blah.. message, no problem when I turn it off, this never happened before and I could log in with the VPN on as well. So the DNS message is not just when SL is undergoing maintanence, if using proxy server, check to see if its on, mine comes on automatically, and even causes viewer to crash if it gets on or off when I'm in SL. But why is this causing an issue when it didnt before?

As others have said doing area search didnt help, nor did cam'ing, it dosent go into the floor, eventially landlord had to find it and even he had difficulty doing so for a while, but thankfully its was resolved. Couldnt try out the other suggestions as Iwas trying out just area search and then the landlod came in so let him do his thing, would have been a good learning opportunity though. The item was just an Indian earing style hair accessory with colour change script, 44 prims in that tiny thing is ridiculous.

I rezzed a hair accessory in my apartment and it just disappeared into the floor and I cant find it, the ctril+alt+T didnt work either, its taken my prim count to over 60 where as I'm only allowed 20 at the rental, have informed landlord but is there anything else one can do?

Alot of people are not posting feedback of what they bought and one of the reasons could be having to search for the item again to post a review, there are simple ways to do that but lazy us rather avoid it, I do at times too especially if i have bought to many things in one go. I think LL needs to step in and do this, after purchasing the product the page should automatically have a popup to review the thing you bought, it will stay till you close the popup or post a review in it, if you dont want to thats fine too, however its awful to see many nice things gone unreviewed, sometimes the entire product range by a creator has not got a single review even if the have a dozen pages of stuff in their store on marketplace. Their hardwork needs to be acknowledged and critiqued.

I dont like full bright and would like to remove it from some items, is it possible through edit function?

Oh, the DNS thing was being caused by a proxy server I use at times when I cant access istuff on regular server, the thing has started coming on automatically causing this and browsing issues at times.

Getting this of FS viewer: Login failed, DNS could not resolve the host name, please ver\ify you can connect to the secondlife.com web site, if you can but continue to recieve this error please go to support section and report this problem

I was boating and had both maps open, and the dots didnt show up on mini when I reached a location full of dots on world map so was wondering, I guess its what some others have explained above, scale and numbers, will check again.

I dont know, I would much rather see things hidden in marketplace brought to attention here, it would be so beneficial for crators too whose hard work is lost somewhere in there when people tire of going beyond a certain number of pages and make do with things that are not exactly what they were searching for,. That item could be hidden somewhere beyond that page they stopped browsing at, and someone else by fluke could bring it up in forum.

One stop shop concept works over visiting peoples hundreds of flickr, facebook and blog sites, pages, accounts. Much rather see people haring their stuff on dedicated forums on here. No, build and texturing dosent fit the bill.

The idea is to share creations / finds / purchases on the forums not on 100s of facebook pages or blogs, Yes marketplace exists but I doubt anyone browses 2000 plus pages when searching for say a Hat, what if something really worth a great is lurking in page 3256 and needs to be shown on a site frequented the most i.e SL forums, one stop shop kind of thing.

I find Muddy's crowded most of the times.

Wouldn't it be great if creators and buyers can share their creations and finds on a forum dedicatedto that, it could have sub forums as well, like for vehicles, homes, decor, landscaping, fashion whatever else.
