I haven't seen that for a long time but I did get it sometimes when a previous logout didn't complete properly. Wait half an hour and try again.

No I just see the harm done by the morality police in the name of what is right and I see them gradually pecking away even now and what we can say,do,hear and see and yes I am fighting it.
I feel much the same way about people who insist on bringing sex (of any kind) into nice, innocent General regions.

That would depend on the circumstances Garnet
The world is short of food and we use the bodies of the naturally deceased to make a protein shortfall - yes
We hunt people without their consent for fun and eat them - no
There are scenario's in between some would be yes some would be no
I was not precise, apologies. I was referring to a society that killed people for food. I would hope we can find some other means to make up a protein shortage. It's my belief that most people would not take too readily to Soylent Green, but I have no evidence to present for this.

Phil, I believe Kanry is fired up by his cause and is arguing just to stay afloat.

Kanry, You're still missing the point. Would you consider a society civilised that condones cannibalism?

So should we arrest all the members of that rugby team who had their plane crash in the Andes and only survived by eating the dead team members for depravity? After all they survived but it wasn't civillised
Or how about all those people who like to tuck into the placenta nicely fried with onions after giving birth
The rugby team belonged to a society that regarded cannibalism as uncivilised.
I presume the placenta eaters did not kill the baby first.

1) There is no such thing as normal, not you nor me, nor anyone you meet
There is a range of behaviours that can be called normal since they are the ones that most people exhibit. Killing people for food is abnormal.

I don't care what other things ere called depravity. It doesn't justify depravity. It just means that sometimes judgements were wrong, that's all. But not in this case.
Anything else?
Precisely. No society that tolerates roasting people for food can be considered civilised.

You consider it depravity, homosexuality was considered a depravity not so long ago and punishable by law as well. Do you think therefore all homosexuals should go to a psychiatrist to get cured?
False comparison.

Oh dear, let this thread die. You can digest it all later.

I'm seeing people jumping into this thread, to raise their own issues, who didn't see the violations themselves. I saw the scene and ARd it, the main reason being that the house owner deliberately left a doorway open to public view with a naked tortured female as bait plus a sign over the visible internal doorway showing a tortured bottom, presumably to make it clear what people were being invited in to see. I do think the content of that house was unacceptable for a General-rated region anyway but this was not a simple matter of a resident wanting to do something distasteful in private. So please, latecomers to the thread, take your issues to another thread. Thank you.

It must have been sincere violations when they nuked the whole house...
Only way to be sure.

Some of us went to look. What necessarily can't be shown in a picture here is the open doorway on one side that allows a direct view of an avatar being tortured.
Added comment:- Kristin's comment arrived as I was posting this so I just want to say thank you, Kristin.

It's true that the landowners are paying tier, so in one respect it's good news for LL, but stagnation is not encouraging for residents.

There's no need to be dismissive of the OP or of anyone else who might find the situation objectionable. This forum is perhaps not the best place to announce the problem but problem it is and she was looking for help. It was enough to remind her to AR.

Could you please make sure questions are answered even-handedly, not allowing a person to jump in on a microphone and hog the floor for several long minutes, thus riding roughshod over those who went through the proper procedure?

Yes, I do. In SL I add a prim or two to a mesh building to suit me, such as windows for a pavilion that looks nice but feels rather breezy in cold weather On another grid I'm currently recreating whole buildings from old floorplans I drew up pre-internet. They'll probably never be seen but it pleases me.

OP's is an argument with which I am very familiar...one I have been making for eight years, to be exact.
Seems pretty indisputable that if LL had simply listened to me then, SL wouldn't be in the trough it is now.
The landowner/creator mafia groups will, one day, have to take responsibility for their actions. As will the racists and rape culture advocates who have warped SL into an unrecognisable MMORPG of sadness and depravity...
Should've listened when you had the chance?? Or was your precious mesh worth this ruin...
My goodness, you have met some extraordinary people. I don't believe I've met them. Are they related to the Morporgs of Berkshire?

Well, the community guidelines do say this " Sexually-oriented objects such as "sex beds" or poseballs may not be located or sold in General regions."
