Cat avatar standing up?

Okay, I just signed up and all, and when I did I choose the cat avatar. It's that orange one. Anyways, when it loads up and all, it's standing up, not like a cat standing up, but more a human standing up, a person. Help? I don't know how to fix it, and it's bugging me. D:

My guess is that there is an AO that comes with the avatar, so that you have all the proper animations for a cat, and that you neglected to wear and activate it.  Look for instructions that probably came with the avatar --- a notecard, maybe?

some animal avatars ARE humanoid...they stand on their hind legs.  To see if yours can be made to go on all fours, look in your inventory (the icon like a suitcase), in Inventory/Library/Clothing/Initial Outfits.  Scroll down until you find the cat avatar and open its folder.  Look inside for an item called something like "AO" or "animation override".  Right click and select Wear.

If there is no AO for your cat, you'll have to go on your hind legs for a while...or try the dog avatar, I know that one is fully quadrupedal.

Open your Inventory > Scroll all the way to the bottom > Left click the arrow by Library > Clothing > Initial Outfits 

Left click on Animal Avatar Cat and while holding down the left click button, drag that folder onto your avatar until the red circle turns into a white rectangle. Let go of the mouse button.

Your avatar should become a cat on all fours. It has no visible AO that you can choose to wear or not, but perhaps an AO you had on was interfering with whatever magical built in AO it has.
