Phil Deakins
I prefer to play in C major, or even D, E, F, G and A. C# is way to awkward for me. I don't care for B, B flat, A flat, F# and E flat either but the worst is definitely C#
PeterCanessa Oh
I am amused that you advertise yourself as a scripter (http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Inworld-Employment/Scripter-Looking-for-Work/m-p/1342353#M3478) complete with ifs, fors and integers in pseudocode and then ask this. Go on then, I can't be too mean about this ... PM me with your questions (but not about the depths of the .Net framework, I just can't be doing with all that in RL, let alone here ^^)
Phil Deakins
To be fair, since he's learning programming at college, programming in LSL shouldn't be difficult for him, and it would be an excellent way learn more quickly.
ROB34466IIIa
To the question/title of your post : no. To c# and a virtual environment as to tutoring : I' d suggest you take Opensim into consideration. You can even experiment there with a c#-compiler built into the viewer / server, if I' m correct. You' ll have better chances there of finding a suitable tutor according to the subject you' re interested in there, imho & afaik. Good luck with your chosen road into programming. PeterCanessa Oh
Tou're almost certainly right that LSL will help Phil, because the syntax is so similar. My amusement comes from someone charging such rates (eg;for the PHP work) when they don't know basic data types, conditional and iterative statements. Phil Deakins
Yes, I hadn't clicked through to the thread you linked to. It does seem a bit much - especially the PHP price - for someone who's just learning.
