Can I use second life on an IPad 2? I can register, when I get to the download stage, it won't let me?

You ought to be able to use Pocket Metaverse, but you will have limited functionality.

Hello RubyBlue and welcome to SL Forums. Which application did you try to download? Except of Pocket Metaverse, you can download Sparkle IM Both are applications for chatting with your friends in SL.

The iPad isn't really built for a program like SL. SL is VERY graphics intensive; even a low-end or standard home computer, without any special graphics emphasis, can have difficulty running it. I'm not suprised that you're unable to download the full viewer on your iPad. Alternatives have already been suggested; pretty much anything you'll be able to use iPad with will be a text-based client, meaning you won't be able to see or interact with the world but you WILL be able to chat with your inworld friends.
