Can someone report abuse for following them

I had chated with someome, and I clicked follow. He said he got a mesg. He asked what it meant to follow. I told him. He said I was raping his Identity. I unfollowed him. He said he want,s proff. I told him to check his profile. he could see I was not on the list. he said he got a msg I was following him. he wants one yhat I am not following him..Now he says he is reporting abuse on me.Can he do that. I realy think It is a laungage issue.

The follow feature really creeps a lot of people out, especially when they get that email from Linden Lab telling them they are being followed.

You didn't do anything wrong. He can report you but you wont be in any trouble if all you did was click his follow button.

There wouldn't be a "follow" button if it was something you could get in trouble for. LL added that feature. Abuse reports are for things that are against the ToS. If following people were against the ToS, the button wouldn't exist. He can file all the ause reports he wants; it's not against the rules, so you won't get in trouble for it.

Many people do find the "follow" button a little creepy, though, so beware. It's easier to just send a friend request.

Hello, your friend is a complete moron. Just mute him and move forward and go enjoy your SL. He can report you to LL all he wants but the Lindens will simply laugh at him so don't worry.
