The short answer is that you "log in".  A slightly longer answer (but not much longer) is that you need to download and install a viewer.  Once that's done, launch the viewer by clicking on the shortcut icon (or the EXE file in your start menu).  That will bring up a log in screen.......put in your user name and password in the appropriate boxes and click the "log in" button.

To expand upon Peggy's answer - here is the download for the current official viewer: https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/

Download the viewer onto your computer, then load it (double click the icon that appears, as you would for any other program you load onto your computer). To log in, use your user name and password, same as for the site.

There's a lot more to SL than just logging in, so you'll need to at least read some of the basics before you come in world for the first time.  You'll find that there a lot of helpful people who can show you the first steps.  Still, it's good to have a general picture first.
