"Unable to connect to simulator" and all friends are offline in dashboard

Just wondering what is going on? I can't log in to work, and when I check the dashboard all my friends are listed as offline. Also, livechat hasn't accepted my request for the past 30 min. Anyone know what's going on?

I'm having those same issues as well.  Something must be going on, but I know my husband is online and he's here right next to me.

I am having the same problem. All I know is that on the grid status page, it says they are continuing critical OS software upgrades today, but I thought that only meant region restarts, not a complete simulator lockdown. It looks to me like the whole ship has sunk today. :matte-motes-confused:

Dunno, but one moment I was at Indie Rose happily hunting xmas dollarbies and the next moment I crashed and now I'm getting the same message when I try to log back on.

I just posted on another thread with precisely this issue.  Can't log in, No friends listed online and cannot get connected to Live Chat.  Brings back (unpleasant) memories of 2008.

I managed to get in contact with support and they stated that there is indeed an issue on their end and hope to have it fixed soon.

Oddly enough, I am not getting this message when I log in under one of my other alts.  This is highly annoying.

It looks like the problem has been fixed, or perhaps my logging in on an alt and then going back to my main fixed it. I was able to log in.

Hello Alexxis. We have currently issues in world with region rolling restarts for maintenance. Please see: http://status.secondlifegrid.net/ Maybe your problem is relative. Try to log in a different region like Smith, Exeuxoa or Anzere. If it is no possible make some patience and watch this space for updates.
