Hello Caitlin. Read the instructions. I found it at Marketplace and i saw that it includes manual in 9 languages. If you still have queries, try to contact the seller / creator.

You also ought to ask the creator which translation service he is using to power that translator.  Most of the translators in SL have been using the Google Translate API, which will be deactivated on December 1, except as a subscriber service.  The latest version of the LL viewer allows you to register for a translation service to power its built-in translator, although you will have to pay the service (Google, Bing, or whatever) their annual fee yourself.  I am not sure what provisions the creators of HUD translators like X Lang, Universal, or Simbolic will be doing.

If you can not see the menu in the hud, click the word X-Lang and it will open up under it.

Now click the first language under the word X-Lang and select a language from the pop up menu or click next >>> to see the next page, (it could have 6 pages in it).

Do the same for the second language under the first language in the hud.

Click the ON/OFF button to make sure it is on, you will get a massage telling you it's state.
