Jo Yardley Posted October 31, 2011 Share Posted October 31, 2011 Yes anyone can get into any house, but at least people who 'sneak' in are breaking rules and if your door is locked you can at least claim someone has been where they shouldn't be. If someone enters a house with an open door in my sim, nothing happens. If someone enters a house with a locked door in my sim, the intruder gets a warning and risk being banned. How you give your partner or friends a "key" to your door depends on the door system. The door or your rent system should have instructions on how to "tell" the door to let who in. If its a Linden home, I presume there is some sort of control panel that you can add your partners name too so they can gain access. Try looking wherever it was you locked the door with. If its a rental home you may have got a notecard explaining how to add friends to your door controls..if not ask your landlord.
