You would have to use the new 'mesh' construction, if you want to avoid a t-shirt that looks vaccuum fitted to the curves of the torso. The "System" clothes are only textures applied to the avatar body, and there is no 'chest spandex morph' like in DAZ or Poser that will bridge the cleveage of a female's breasts.

Mesh cloithes are very limited right now, however. Few viewers can even see mesh, and even with those that do, the mesh doesn't respond to over half the avatar appearance slirders. Mesh is only aware of "bone lengths", and can't tell if you're flat-chested or an excessive triple -G cup. Mesh clothes have to be made entirely in external 3D programs like Blender or Maya, and are much more difficult to create than the simple texture clothes.
