Blurry profile pic

I've updated my profile pic (in Firestorm) with a 1024 square image. It looks perfectly clear and sharp when fully opened but when displayed on my actual profile, its blurry.  I tried several diferent images with the same issue and then I tried uploading a 2048 square image instead but apparently that's no longer possible.  I tried my previous pic which was nice and sharp before, but that is also blurry now.

Is there a workaround for this problem?

I have the same problem - blurred profile pic but sharp when enlarged. I haven't updated my profile pic recently though. I often see the same when looking at other people;s profiles.

Hmm - I just checked mine.  It hasn't been updated in a few years.  It looks perfectly fine to me without being fully opened.  Then again, the in profile version doesn't look square either. That might have to do with the mode that I run Firestorm in -- I use Phoenix mode.
