We need more script memory from the stock 64kb. I am a master at programming and have made this animated musical machine that can play music from midi to a notecard and 64kb is just not enough. It is a shame that I can't bring this masterpiece to second life.

If you write your script to use Linkset Data instead of memory in the script, there is an additional 128k of storage available (in the object where the script is running from).

Isn't this just an SL copy of Animusic?

I guarantee that once you start watching it's very hard to stop.

lOMG trip down memory land.  When I used to work with pre schoolers, I bought the DVD of this form.  Guaranteed you the chance to get a cuppa as they were fascinated and quiet for at least half an hour.

I prefer Herbie Hancock's "Rockit". Bonus: the "robots"/automatons were created by Tim Hunkin, who had the series "The Secret Life of Machines".

I first saw Rockit when I was around 6 and I remember it scaring me.

I recall reading recently about Hunkin's contribution to the video.

I wasn't actually "preferring" the Animusic vid as much as pointing out that the OP's attempt resembles Animusic very much.
