Okay since you have a 64bit system did you install the 64bit version of firestorm?  because first thing came to mind you had installed the 32bit version and the 32bit version will run out of ram, because it's only able allocate so much ram to use.

Firestorm 6.5.6 (66221) Jul 16 2022 14:14:47 (64bit / SSE2) (Firestorm-Releasex64) with Havok support  <--64 bit I run.

The 64bit version will use what ever it will use, because it does not have the pae restrictions that 32bit will.

Try this Disable VBO: Run Firestorm and before logging in, press Ctrl-P to bring up the Preferences window. Then click on Graphics → Hardware Settings tab. Make sure that “Enable OpenGL  Vertex  Buffer  Objects” is  not  checked.

if you have the 32bit, switch to the 64 bit first, try that, see if that stops the problem,  or disable whats recommended from firestorm on the viewer.

Just my guesses... I'd raise the disk cache to at least 4096 MB. If you had a larger SSD, I'd say max that setting out but try 4096 first.

Looking at the screen shot, I'd put the minimum texture memory to 2048 MB. You can leave the settings under it at 10%
