saige Dismantled
I use the upcoming events listing on the homepage often, usually to find dancing. The Upcoming Events only shows listings that are starting in the future (on the hour and half hours). The problem with that is an event that started 1 minute ago is no longer listed. So say I wanted to dance right now and it happens to be 8:01. I go to the homepage to look for somewhere to go. All the events that started at 8:00 have dropped off the list and sometimes there are many of them. I wouldn't know that these events are going on. It seems like this kind of limits the effectiveness of this listing. If I was a person listing my events I would feel a little cheated. I'm pretty sure there is a fee to list things. It would be nice if they showed events which have started within the last hour or half hour. A simple dropdown for this would be perfect. There's even room for one right next to the categories dropdown. I entered a ticket suggesting this about 6 months ago and nothing ever came of it.
Sandis Jenkins
I agree! I normally was using the events list in firestorm viewer, but for some reason I crash every time i use it now. At least in the viewer you can see previous events too.
Jaylinbridges
The web events listing can list past events for the same day. You just have to use the design bug to see them, since there is no search by time of day options. To see past events for the day, click on a future day on the calendar. Then click back to today. All the events from 12:01 AM on are now listed. Use the Event type filter to reduce the events lists somewhat. You cannot change the Maturity Level unless you change your account maturity level. Then page and page and page until you reach the time an event started. If you refresh the web page, or it self refreshes, then the Show Upcoming Events filter kicks in, and you only see future start times. Yes it's a horrible design - but LL isn't a web page design company, so what did you expect? Edited July 21, 2022 by Jaylinbridges

saige Dismantled
my bad.. you're right BUG-230931 has been open for a little more than a year. I suppose that doesn't make me too much more optimistic. It's not a huge deal and it's not costing me anything, but it seems like a simple solution and would give their paying customers (the event listers) better service by showing their events to more people... and I could find more dances when I want to. Jaylinbridges
Try this url in any browser: https://search.secondlife.com/ Now you can sort Events by time of day, Maturity etc. You need to be logged in on the website to see Moderate and Adults events. The Events page you are using is useless, and mainly for by event hosts to check their own listings. LL removed any useful search options from the event page, because it is not a search page, and would compete with their new UI search engine I listed above. You do not need to be logged into an SL or TPV browser inworld to search in SL. But I guess LL doesn't want you to know that.
