I need help!!! I can't age verify and i don't know why.

Question

I cannot age verify. I live in the United States and i am 18 years old. I enter my information and it tells me that my information does not match public records. Whenever i ask someone for help they say make a support ticket, but it won't let me. so please do not tell me to make a support ticket. i have a basic account and i can't make one. i apologize if i sound rude i am extremely frustrated.

Because you are a basic member, and you want to be verified, then you may have to remit documents: DL, passport, birth certificate, etc.  You can send these directly to LL - and wait. Sorry there is no better answer; perhaps would be better for you to become a premium member and PIOF for age verification.  Premium membership does havve its perks and privleges.

Hello AvaFaye. If you are not a premium member, it is not suggested  to try to verify your age manually (submiting a ticket) insomuch according LL, you can use it "if you are a "premium or Concierge customer and you experience difficulty verifying your identity on the Second Life website".

One the other side, we have another one occasion. If you joined SL being under 18 and you turned 18 recently, the system can't recognized you as an adult. In that occasion you must to submit a ticket. https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/

Alternatively you can have access in most of adult regions if you become "Account Verified", having "Payment Info on File".

For me you can try to call LL (you said that you live in US) at the following number: Phone:   (415) 243-9000 It is no toll free number but you haven't problem when you live in US. Other options could be: Fax:        (415) 243-9045 or a mail to support@secondlife.com although i can't guarantee that you will get a reply.

Did you move address during the past few months. If so, try verifying with the old address.

Do you have a double surname. If so, try verifying without leaving a space between them.

You're right, there is no support category for age verification issues for Basic members. You need Premium membership.

If you only have Basic you can account verify instead by setting up a payment relationship with Linden Lab.

Credit card or verified Paypal will work if you are a US resident to add Payment Info. Once completed, you can access adult areas apart from a very few that require age verification.

However, if you were a Teen in SL with PG sim restrictions and you've now turned 18, there is no automatic system in place to switch you to the full grid so you have to submit a ticket to Linden Lab for this. There is no other way at the moment.

If you joined SL before you were 18 and have now turned 18, the system to recognise that isn`t in place yet (work in progress). You will need to contact support to get your maturity rating unstuck from General/PG. There is no specific ticket, just use the closest match you can find and get to the point as soon as possible in your text so that it is clear what you are asking for.
