On a Sim

How many clubs are allowed on 1 sim.  The sim i live on I have my club in the air an live on the ground, I rent over 1/2 the sim.  But the other renter right now has 5 on the ground.

There are absolutely no SL rules regarding the number of businesses of any kind that can exist in a region.  Individual landowners may set up their own rules, or course, but that's totally up to them.  Read your SL TOS, sect 3.4: "You may permit or deny other users to access your Virtual Land on terms determined by you. Any agreement you make with other users relating to use or access to your Virtual Land must be consistent with the Agreements, and no such agreement can abrogate, nullify, void or modify the Agreements."

If you're renting on a private estate, ask the property owner.  If it's a large company with 100s of regions, they usually only come out and check if there is a complaint.
