I'm thinking we might need a bit more info, but I'll offer some possibilities:

If you have a Linden Home, one of the Bellisseria ones, then you can change the specific home Style WITHIN a Theme (Traditional, Houseboat, Log Home, Camper, Stilt Home, Victorian) by clicking the Mailbox/Life Preserver/Wood Sign/etc... that you'll find at the edge of your property.

If you want a different Theme all together, then you need to Abandon the property --- click the property name at the top of the window and you'll get the Land window. Click Abandon.  Then go back to your Dashboard to get a new home.

If it is one of the older Linden Homes, the only way to change anything is to Abandon and get a new one.

If you are renting from someone, you might or might not be able to change the home -- talk to the Landlord.

Lil's got it completely.  If you are in a Linden Home in Bellisseria, I suggest clicking on your mailbox to get the information notecard that tells you all the information about the homes available for your theme.  That will answer a lot of questions that you haven't asked yet.
