Schutzjr Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 I'd like to start creating tattoos for SL, but I've honestly looked for videos to create HUDs but haven't come up with any to learn about. Could you share a link or video that could help me?

MaxMare Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 (edited) For tattoos, you should probably just do universal Omega HUD (works with 99% meshes), Legacy HUD (they don`t support omega) and BOM (system layers). I wouldn`t bother with anything else...Both Omega and Legacy have detailed and easy to follow instructions... Omega Dev Kit -this kit has everything you need, best to go with outfit applier cause it lets you combine torso and legs together...you can re-skin it with your own texture but buttons cannot be moved,! Inside each applier, you will find a script with a notecard and a line for each part where you copy/paste UIIDs (to get UIID, just right click on tattoo texture in your inventory and select "copy UIID" from drop down menu) Legacy texture applier/installer kit is included with each body, unfortunately they do not offer kits separately and you will have to buy one body to get the kit...included script works for all legacy bodies-- create your applier graphic in PS/Gimp, add buttons to that texture (drawn on buttons), rez a simple prim cube, add texture, resize, rez another cube and place it above the drawn on button- arrange other buttons if there are any, link but make sure to select the main prim last so it becomes the root prim and make button prims invisible, once you have this set up, add scripts and NCs as per instructions and that`s about it...(this is how most HUDs are made, there may be some slight differences with the actual script and where the UIIDs go, but base is the same) In both cases, make sure to set permissions (for applier and script) and name your HUD, pick it up, right click on it in your inventory and select "Attach to HUD", it offers several placement options, but you can move it around your screen manually via SL Edit, when you are happy with the placement/size, detach and you are done... Bakes on Mesh/BoM is basically system layer, you can create it from your outfit tab, bottom drop down menu/create new tattoo (the rest is self explanatory), set permissions and that`s it.. Hope this helps! Edited August 14, 2020 by MaxMare 1 1
