HELLO  I LIKE TO KNOW IF THE NEW LINDEN HOMES ARE GOING TO COME UP AVAILABLE AGAIN IM BEEN LOOKING FOR THE BOAT HOUSES AND THEY NOT SEEM TO EVER COME OPEN PLEAS LET ME KNOW ABOUT THEM THANK YOU

The houseboats are the most popular style, by quite a margin...so they become available less often.  Keep trying!

No, skyboxes are not allowed in the old Linden Homes.  The covenant* forbids them:  That restriction has been ignored by a lot of residents, but the fact remains that Linden Lab can remove a skybox at any time as a covenant violation.  Skyboxes are allowed in the new Linden Home parcels, but not below 2000m.

* Land cannot contain sky boxes, temp-rezzers, or individual prims beyond the allocated size of the Second Life Viewer build tools — 10x10x10m (no megaprims).

Fat chance, it seems. Might as well get an old Linden Home for now. The homes are totally old, but you can make a platform in the sky over your house (up 2000 meters at least) and do things up there.
