Question

Hi people from SL Community, yesterday 2019/08/22, I went through an unfortunate episode at [Name Removed], where it was having an event for kids ran by its owner [Name Removed], obviously that is a G rated sim, but it seems the owner is not aware of its ToS. Here we go... it all started when I noticed a bunch of residents wearing inappropriate objects such as [Profanity Removed]Spankers, then I gently IMed those residents telling them it's not appropriate for a G rated sim, but they claimed that I was "violating" them just because I did click on that, but I did that on purpose in order to get them noticed by other residents so they could report it as well, unfortunately those Residents wearing [Profanity Removed] Spankers reported me to Linden Lab also for the land owner who I mentioned early, [Name Removed]. I told [Name Removed] that they should be reported for Indecency > Inappropriate content or conduct for Region Rating, but to my surprise [Name Removed] banned me from the sim and claims that since [Profanity Removed] Spankers are invisible objects, and they were not for sale so it should be ok for G rated sims. I completely disagree with her for several reasons, first you don't expose your children to objects like that because children may click on that by accident, also it is free to anyone to click on that and the sound it makes is pornographic moans and groans and your children should NOT be exposed to that behaviour!

OBS: The Residents who reported me to [Name Removed] claimed that I was harassing them by "violating", violating the violator? It's ludicrous!
Plus when I told [Name Removed] that I reported her, she said the following: "go ahead, say hi for me, a lot of them know me very well and the Charity we raise funds for".

Well, a person who supports a bad behaviour such inappropriate contents for G rated sims I really doubt those funds are going to a good cause. I have all conversation logs on record and I did report it to Linden Lab, but I'm not sure if they will take a look on it soon also I want the opinion of the SL Community about this case.

You're going to get a lot of blowback on this one.

1.  There are no children in SL.  You must be at least 16 to have an account.

2. People wearing spankers almost certainly can't be said to violate the ratings rules unless the spankers are activated, and YOU activated them.  If there's a culprit here, it's the person who activated them.  To offer another example ..... if you found a woman with RLV active and you removed her outer clothing in that G-rated region, YOU would be violating the TOS and she could file an AR on you, just as the residents who just reported you.

3. If you ever think that you have observed a TOS violation, the proper action is to submit an AR, not to take matters in your own hands.  Linden Lab takes a dim view of vigilantes.

I'll sit back and watch, but I suspect that other people responding won't be as kind as I have tried to be.
