I have tried everything!! Every single time I try to log on past few weeks it freezes at 'loading world' then I can't even log out. I have to Ctrl/alt/delete. I have cleaned cache, reboot,disk clean..everything I know and YES my internet is fine with everything else but secondlife. I even installed firestorm and singularity same thing. YES I uninstalled all and just installed secondlife viewer. 😢

... do you use this GPU to log in, by any chance?

I have no idea what a GPU is, sorry. OH!! I have installed other viewers same thing

Ok tried to find this GPU and all it says is 'we couldn't any app specific preferences to show here. Add a app to get started??

@Dedra Debruyere,

At the login screen, click Help>About.  You will see a window with a lot of information.  Part of that information is what graphics card (GPU) you are using.  If it says Intel HD620 or HD 630, follow Pantera's advice.  You can find the legacy (earlier version) graphics driver here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27680

We actually have this bug fixed in the new release of Firestorm: https://www.firestormviewer.org/os/

The cause of the freeze is wearing a jacket layer.
If you login on the new Firestorm, take any worn jacket layers off.  You'll then be able to log that account in on the LL viewer.

Normally, you wear a jacket to KEEP from freezing!  What the heck, Whirls?

To get technical help one has to provide good information about their computer. If you haven't figured that out, SL is probably beyond you.

Lindal's suggestion to use the viewer's HELP->About... reveals all the tech info we need to help. Paste it here and YOU have to know very little and we can usually figure out the problem.
