Yes, that's certainly true. Most of things I do at home are on a sky platform surrounded by skyboxes. And yes, most of those DO use screens.

There's one that I wish did: clearly visible from my platform is a giant prim textured with a photo of a monstrously large set of male genitalia.

Not pretty.
