Question

Hello! Help, please, with particles. I have a script, but it always emits particles in one direction, no matter how I rotate the object. How to make the emission change the direction when the object rotates (attached or rezzed)? Is this difficult? Thank you!

The problem solved. Just had to use 'cone' instead of 'angle'.

...ummmm... I am not sure I understand. Particles ALWAYS face the one viewing them.

If you rotate the prim emitter, the particle still always faces you. If you want the particles to change direction of travel, like water from a fire hose as it is waved around, there is a setting that makes it do that. See http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/LlParticleSystem#llParticleSystem

It has been awhile since I did particles. But, I think the setting you want is PSYS_PART_FOLLOW_SRC_MASK

If you get really desperate, I have a friend that can help. Plus there are particle labs that generate the mod-OK particle scripts for you, which I think are easier to use than writing the script command (marketplace - particle lab).

PS: and Jopsy Pendragon's Particle Lab is still around... http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Teal/198/47/301

He has great tutorials there. You can quickly find what you are looking for and learn just that point. Very well done.
