spicystrung Posted March 4, 2018 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Hi, I spotted a weird-looking link on that page: https://land.secondlife.com/en-US/lindenhomes/my-home.php I think you need to have a premium account and got yourself a linden house in order to access that page. Anyway, towards the bottom, you have a link that says "Personalize your new home" that points to https://www.xstreetsl.com/. It doesn't look like a genuine *.secondlife.com URL at first glance. Or does it?? I would expect something like lindenhomes.secondlife.com or marketplace.secondlife.com.... You see what I mean? You see what I mean? once upon a time that xstreet link was a genuine SL affiliated website it used to be that there was an online marketplace for SL called SLexchange (second life exchange) it then became XstreelSL then LL bought up the website which went on to become the marketplace around the time it was still XstreetSL there were a couple of other competing second life marketplaces called OnRez and Slapt.me they no longer exist Also what we use now as the forums in a different incarnation used to be the XstreetSL forum 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

When I clicked on it, i got spooked by a SSL certificate error with that URL, and having encountered a few dodgy URLs related to SL before, I decided to err on the side of caution. Happy end!
