Logging in after a long time - what's to do now?

It's been a few years I think since I've logged in to Second Life - What are the fun things to do and see? Shopping trends? ANYTHING? I've missed "The Life" a bit

For shopping, there's several events going on right now. Summerfest, Hair Fair, Collabor88. You can also click on destinations and see what's new or editor's picks.

Bento hands and heads are the biggest new thing probably, basically an improvement with more bones for greater range of movement and animations.

There's a seashell hunt going on right now. It costs 100L, but it's pretty fun.

As far as shopping, almost everything is mesh and/or appliers now. Some hair designers have started including HUDs that change the style of your hair (from a bun to a ponytail, and that kind of thing), which may or may not catch on. Seraphim is usually a good place to check for shopping events.
