According to the Market Data, $L are currently trading at around $L270 = $1.00 US.

For several years now, the average exchange rate has been around $L250 = $1.00 US, so one could say that the price of the $L has dropped by about 20.

But if you go back several years, you'd see that for a long time the exchange rate was at about 270:1, so another way to look at it is that the $L has just returned to its former range.

This is good for people who are holding a lot of $USD and want to buy $L!  Not so good for those who have a lot of $L and were planning to exchange them for $USD.
