I tried using Exodus viewer and my mesh is deforming and won't stop

That's likely to happen.  The Exodus viewer has been obsolete for a long time. (Look all the way at the bottom of http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory )  It is no longer compatible with the current version of the standard viewer, which is the basis of all third party viewers as well.  You might as well trash that viewer.

Exodus is an old, out-of-date viewer that probably doesn't support mesh. Try the Singularity viewer if you want that type of interface that's not as resource heavy as the Firestorm.

Development stopped on Exodus viewer quite a while ago & the viewer has never been updated to add fitted mesh support.

There is no fix apart from to use an up to date viewer.
