Can't modify KKBB pants, but they claim to be modifiable. What do I do?

Recieved these (https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/KKBB-Bag-Pants/5198159) as a gift but can not modify them as they are all marked no modify. What do I do?

 

Edit - Yes I have tried modifying it, but it has a (no modify) tag next to and when I go to edit it, nothing happens

if it's really not what the description says ...

.. the same as in RL

a) you take it as is and live with it

b) you go back to the store

 

note that the seller explicit mentions the demo... in this case when you'r not happy with it you can be left with only option a) ...

Go for Alwin's option b.

The whole permission setting system is one of the most user unfriendly parts of the Second Life interface and even the most careful maker may get it wrong by accident every now and then. Fortunately most merchants realize this and usually all you need to do is contact them and they'll fix it.

 

Edit - after reading Theresa's reply: you did actually try to modify them, didn't you? What they're marked as in your inventory doesn't necessarily mean much.

If ANY part of an object, including scripts contained in it, are no-modify the object will be listed as "no modify" in your inventory. However, if the object may still be able to be modified - select it with the editor and there will be a line that says either "You can modify this object" or "You can't modify this object." Also bear in mind that even modifiable rigged mesh can't have its shape be modified the way a non-rigged object can.
