Why can't change my avatars name?

nobody can change the avatar name. It is and will stay the one you used to sign up.

The only thing you can change is your display name, you can do that in your profile or webprofile.

Nobody can and here is why:

Your avatars name is the only thing that enabled others (including LL) to identify you as you , because everything else about your avatar is completely changeable. Things you own or have created are marked with your name as well. This might not seem important to you at this point, but there are cases where its pretty handy to know whos who.

You can add a Display Name by editing your Profile, and you can change that once per week if you want.  But you can't change your user name, and there is no way to hide it from people who want to see it.

It can't be pronounced, but "j8105204" is pretty inoffensive.  Still, If you really cannot stand your user name you can delete your account, go back, and sign up again with a new user name.
