What are the new ranks of the new forum/blogs/etc.?

Does anyone know anything about the new ranks? o.o because its all sort of confusing to me. Because I keep getting new inbox saying I have ranked up and such.

 

How do I go about ranking up and why am I doing so? Can anyone tell me anything?

As You are new you probably gained a couple of initial ranks for setting your profile or making your first post etc. It won`t change so often after that and is based on how active you are on the forums.

Roles and Ranks

• What roles, or ranks, are available on the Community website??

  Like most online communities, we have a series of ranks/roles to recognize users who contribute content valued by the community. When a person first logs into the community website, they receive the New Resident rank. As they spend time as active participants, their rank will change. The higher the rank, the more exacting the requirements.

  Higher ranks in a community mean additional permissions or features may become available to you. The current rank groups and corresponding roles are listed below. Some roles have multiple different rank divisions within them. The main associated permission additions are listed after each rank/role.

  New Resident can:

  • Create a profile
  • Use private messages
  • Adjust preferences and settings

  Resident can:

  • Use a signature
  • Use simple HTML in posts and signatures Use uploaded images as their avatars
  • Upload images
  • Insert images they have uploaded in posts
  • Share uploaded images
  • Give Kudos

  Member can:

  • Add a Youtube video to posts
  • Add a tag

  Advisor can:

  • Comment on KB articles

  Contributor can:

  • Start new knowledge base articles and edit draft (unpublished) articles (cannot publish articles)
  • Nominate topics for knowledge base articles

  Helper can:

  • Allow user to edit published knowledge base articles (cannot publish changes)

By the way:

The previous system had a JIRA requesting removal the system of points ( https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-1498 ).

In this new system, there is a JIRA requesting to be removed the "Ranks" and their permission to act in one way or another on the forums according to your rank.
