I can't download this game....i have a Mac but it seems like there is some error in the download.

You may

1. Go to the bottom of this page and click the link to Download Second Life, or

2. Go directly to https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/?lang=en-US

In either case, be sure that you select the Mac version to download.  If you are using a current version of the MacOS (Mac OS X 10.7 or better), it should download and install automatically.  If it does not, check to be sure that you do not have a firewall or anti-virus routine blocking access.

Hi Jenn,

I'm not quite sure what problem you're having, but I'll guess.

The Mac protects you from casually launching applications you download from the web by throwing up a warning message if you attempt to initially launch it by double-clicking. To circumvent that initial protection, you must right click the application and select "Open" from the drop-down menu. After that initial launch, you'll be able to double click the application to launch it.

sound like your anti virus has put files into the Quarantine folder.

so you get the errors.

open the Quarantine folder and check if that is the case.

if so you can put the files back or shut off anti virus and download sl and then restart it.

but do a full anti virus scan after.

then try the download

Jeffrey, It's not that Macs have no anti-virus, but none is provided with Mac OS and very few people take the effort and expense to obtain anti-virus software because Mac OS is fairly secure.
