How to change the ratings to adult for a noob

So friends are starting out and they need to buy skins however they need an adult rating to do so. How do I change it so they can look at adult stuffs. Thanks.

Since you registered with your real life information and birth date, all you need to do that is age related is to make sure you have selected the level of information you are willing to see in all these locations:

1) In the Viewer General Tab [ G ] [ M ] [ A ] - Check the desired options

2) In the Viewer [Ctr'-M] World Map Events: [ G ] [ M ] [ A ] - Check the desired options

3) In the in-world Search Window - Perform any search then check the desired viewing levels in the upper left area of the search window - [ G ] [ M ] [ A ]

4) In the MarketPlace click on the Show maturity levels Down Arrow and select the desired viewing options phrase. {Note: I find it interesting that you can select Adult Only as one of the options here}

Additional Note: Do understand that many Adult venues may also impose a "How Long Has the Avatar Been Created" restriction. This is to keep out griefers and in some cases, new persons [ noobies ] from these areas.

For some reason when they try to do it on the mp it goes back to just G or M rating it keeps switching. Does it take time?

The Marketplace is tricky. Change your maturity rating, and then immediately run a marketplace search.

Nowadays everything in Marketplace takes time. Lots of time. :smileysad:

Anyway, the maturity level change should stick where one sets it.
If not, then it's Marketplace's general bad performance to be blabed, I guess.

Before you do everything in the viewer that KarenMichelle mentions, you have to change that info in the actual SL account (log onto the SL website). Then once you do that, you go to the viewer and make all those adjustments. MP will be automatic

Good question, I remember doing this over 2 years ago but now when I look there, I don't see that option.
