immortal Tiramisu
How can I get the original dowload from 1995 for secondlife? I do NOT like the new dowloads and I am old skool. My computer liked the older version and I prefer the chat and everything over what is given today. Is there anyway to get the old version and use today? Dresden Ceriano
1995? Second Life wasn't even around in 1995. ...Dres
Ren Toxx
And besides, even if there had been, a viewer from back then would be massively incompatible with the current platform... and Linden Labs aren't exactly keen on allowing so incompatible viewers to actually connect to the grid, so chances are you wouldn't be able to use it even in that severely reduced capacity. If the main issue is your computer's performance, there are some third-party viewers such as Singularity that are usually regarded as easier on older or less powerful systems. Griffin Ceawlin
Versions prior to 3.0.0 are no longer available for download. If v1.23 was available and you were able to connect with it (which I don't think you could), a lot of content would be broken for you. You do know that, right? http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Old_versions Viewer Support Policy As described in the March 2009 blog post, our policy is to support the two newest Second Life Viewer versions, and the last released Second Life Beta Viewer. For example: Second Life Viewer versions 3.2.8 and 3.2.6, and the latest Second Life Beta Viewer (v3.3.1). Deprecation Policy Because Linden Lab supports only the current version and one version back, sixty (60) days after the release of a new official Viewer, older Second Life Viewer versions are likely to be deprecated. At that time, Residents attempting to log in using a deprecated version will be required to update to the newest Second Life Viewer. Should you wish to use a supported Viewer other than the newest one, download links have been provided below. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Supported_Viewers

That's the year your account was created. :smileywink: Well, as others have said there is no viewer that ancient any more available. However if you prefer the old style UI over the more recent V3 viewer style UI there is still at least one third party viewer with old UI available. Have a look here: Cool VL Viewer PS. This viewer - even though having the old style UI - is being regularly updated so that it will work with the latest updates done to Second Life. ObviousAltIsObvious
you can't get any more old skool than 1.18. older viewers were tied to the server version. the viewers from that time don't always deal too well with newer content and crash easily. limits for building and groups and some other things are hard coded and don't match what's on the grid today. these viewers can be fun to visit to see how far SL has come, but you don't want to live there now. Orca Flotta
You can try Singularity viewer, which is on the old V1.23 gui but has all the lastest shinies enabled nevertheless. Best of both worlds, really. But even Singularity most probably won't run on a computer from 2005.
