Question

I used a zooby pool script to build a boys dirt box to play in and my prim disappeared. what do I use to keep it from disappearing? It did not just go transparent, it disappeared completely...and the script is no mod so therefore I cannot even look at it.  I cannot even stop the script from running because the minute I put it into the prim it completely vanishes.  I am sure there has to be a way around using this script because it is being used in other toys around the grid.

I don't have a clear picture of what you are describing or why you are using a script to build a "dirt box", but let me just ask what you mean by "disappearing".  Do you mean that it is transparent, or that it is actually gone?  If you don't know, check to see by highlighting transparent objects (CTRL _+ Alt + T).  If it's not there at all, we'll need more information about how it died.  If it's transparent, I suspect that the zooby pool script --- whatever that is -- made it transparent.  To reverse that, we'd have to see how the script works.  That's unlikely to happen because I suspect that the script is no-mod.

In any case, to provide extra information or to clarify your question, click on the Options link in the upper right corner of your question and select EDIT. Please do not start a new thread. Doing that makes it hard for us to see what other people have already suggested, and it pushes other residents' questions off the page.

Hmmm... That's unfortunate.  There's no hope of knowing why the script made your prim poof, or what to do about it, without seeing the script itself.  It's quite possible, for example, that the script is supposed to move the prim to a specific position --- but you didn't provide the specific position. If that were the case, the script would have thrown your prim to the sim's garbage collector in the extreme SW corner of the sim at <0.0,0.0,0.0>.  Without seeing the script, though, we'd just be guessing.

It might help, perhaps, if I had a better idea of what you are trying to do, because there might be a completely different solution that would let you avoid the Zooby pool script.  I'm missing some basic information.  At the least:

1.  What's a "dirt box"?

2. What is the Zooby pool script supposed to do, and why would you put it into a dirt box?

A dirt box is similar to a sand box but with dirt...since little boys like to play in dirt with their trucks and cars and get all muddy....

The zooby pool script calls the zooby babies to interact with the pool...but the script is also used in different toys if you don't mind the splashing of water sounds and the only way that you can actually call the babies to the toys to actually interact with them to help them grow and boost their knowledge...that is why the scripts are used. I just cannot for the life of me figure out why when you put the script in....even last that the prim or even linked prims disappears.

You are asking for help about a specific product: "zooby pool script".

More than 99.9% of the millions* of things in SL are created by residents just like you and us.  Unless someone happens to read this thread and also happens to have an idea of how the product works we are not going to have any idea how to help.

For any specific product the first people you should contact are those that sold the thing to you and/or created it in the first place.

ETA: I've just been nudged that this is probably some building tool for "Zooby babies".  If that's the case you'll almost certainly have to contact them; that sort of specialised role-play thingy is not likely to get any useful responses here.

ETAM: And now I've just seen your reply to Rolig confirming the above.  Their support group or whatever is the place to go.

Hmmmm... I can't tell either. My best guess is that it's a positioning issue, as I described above, but even if you verify that by finding your lost prims in the garbage collector, there's nothing we can do about it without seeing into the script. I think Peter's right. Your only hope is to talk with the creator, or at least with some Zooby user group.

Hey there!

If this is the OLD zooby pool script that has Both Transfer and Copy privilages (its no modify so you can't change how it works) you can use it in your builds. So long as your builds are EXACTLY 3 prims, you can make them bigger but cannot link them the pool script only recognises 3 prims to work.

Make sure your 3rd prim is at the bottom Like the shadow of the pool or something. THIS is what you put the script in that SINGLE prim. So link your three prims.

EDIT - EDIT LINKED (your flat bottom prim) - Contents (drop your pool script in here)

This should work without it vanishing on you.

I hope this helps you!
