hi i need to ask a question please if i buy a land on secondlife i still have to pay the the rent by week or so often

If you purchase the land with a premium account thru Linden Lab. The tier will be monthly and time starts ticking as soon as you purchase. 30 days after purchase your tier will be due.

If you purchase from a private individual you most likely have to pay weekly and I dont recomend paying a month ahead of time unless you have done your research about the land vendor. Some can be shady.

Renting from a private person doesn't have to be shady nor are you forced to pay every week. There are some big private estate companies with good reputation. There vendors allow you to pay for one to four weeks, whenever you want. I have rented parcels from some of them and never had problems.

On mainland I heard a lot of people complaining about their neigbhours.

Before you buy any land, I suggest doing a lot of background reading first.
