I totally agree that SL is a game and all you need do now is to read the fine print and learn how to get from Level 1 to Level 2.  At Level 2, you win 20 gold bars.  Do not rest on your laurels (look it up) because you have another 18 levels to go before you WIN!

Being that this seems to be the thread everyone is responding in, I will repost here:

 

There was and is another possibility here.

That the whole time they were role-playing being jealous.  And never broke character.

But now what you have done is the very thing you have accused the jealous person of.

You have reacted in your RL to their jealousy. Look at your own indignation.
