Will Linden Labs shorten the wait time on processing credit to make up for the new TOS changes?

Question

Now that outside linden dollar exchanges are no longer allowed in SL, will Linden Labs make up for this by shortening the time that it takes to process credit to a PayPal account?  The website says 0-5 business days which is misleading.  It always takes much longer than that, and I usually have to call customer service and find out where my money is.  PayPal is an immediate pay system that I've personally used for over 10 years.  There is no reason why it should take more than 24 hours to process deposits to PayPal accounts from Linden Labs.

The last time I had an issue, the representative flat out lied to me because they didn't know the answer. They tried to tell me that PayPal hadn't accepted it.  I have a great working relationship with PayPal, and they assured me that nothing had been received from Linden Labs.  I had to call Linden Labs back three more times just to get someone to admit that there was a delay in the first place.  I finally got my money... 8 days after I sent it.  If the credit processing system was faster, there wouldn't have been any outside agencies to ban in the first place.

The answer is that absolutely nobody knows.  We are SL residents, just like you, and have no inside pipeline to policy discussions in the Linden Lab boardroom.  Lindens never come here either, so you won't get a response from them here either.  My own guess --- based on 6 years of Linden watching -- is that it's unlikely that you'll see the change you're asking about.  But that's only a guess.

"Good News : Linden Lab has approached us with a potential solution that would allow us to serve our customers within the bounds of the updated Second Life Terms of Service. We are in discussions with them and look forward to being able to share more information very soon."

Management will have to consult with the older Lindens still on staff to find out why residents are so upset before they can make a statement to us or Virwox. The older Lindens are the only ones who know how the hell things work.

It's ridiculous that it takes so long for PayPal after all these years. LL has a handful of people that are building and maintaining the world while management rushes around shoving napkins and pieces of cardboard under things that are wobbling and falling apart because they don't know how to do anything else except to find trivial little games that titillate them and pull talent aside to waste time on that nonsense.

Nearly a year later and this is still an issue. Linden labs just doesn't give a damn. Good luck getting someone on the line, and if you do they give you the run around, or dont answer you at all. Been ten days and I havent received payment. Sit and twist seems to be their policy on this. Have an awesome SL folks
