True. Better give them access via TeamViewer to not resolve your SL password and give them access to your complete machine instead! :matte-motes-wink-tongue:

I think where people get confused about the Password issue is because of 3.1, the highlighted phrase.  Sharing a password and assigning an account are two different things.

3.1 You must establish an account to use Second Life, using true and accurate registration information.

You must establish an Account with Linden Lab to use the Service, except for those portions of the Websites which Linden Lab allows users to access without registration. You may establish one or more additional Accounts, provided that your existing Account is in good standing and you are otherwise in full compliance with this Agreement. You may not transfer or assign your Account and its contractual rights, licenses and obligations, to any third party without the prior written consent of Linden Lab.

There is a lot of good legal logic to this, primarily that the Assignee would not have a legal agreement with the LL.  Which is also why LL is clear about you being responsible for any activity with your account.

hello friends. my partner changed my contact information (mail address etc..) and changed my password. Is it possible to take back my account please?

Hey everyone, think about this:

If MonicaMon' s partner has changed mail address and the password, she would not be able to log into the forum and post here.

So MonicaMon is

a) the person who has stolen this account

or

b) just a person who is joking on everyone here

Someone else maybe can verify but if I recall this is not her only account.  But right now I am having a fuzzy brain moment.

You are right. The quoted parts do not prohibit the disclosure of an account password to other people. It does make the account holder responsible for anything that might result due to the disclosure, but it's not prohibited according to the quoted parts..
