Uploading Pictures to Items

Hello, for the last 5 days I have been trying to upload pictures to new items but I cannot. I've tried cleaning my browsers cache and reinstalling them but still no success. What could the problem be? Thanks.

maybe the size of your pic ? try to resize it to 512 X 512 or 1024 X1024.

It could also be the file format the pictures are in. For example .tga or .psd doesn't work, you need them to be saved in .png or .jpg (some other file formats are also accepted but can't remember which).

Thanks guys. I'll try resizing the picture, it's already in .png.

I tried resizing and changing the file extension type, but still the page doesn't load after I choose the picture I want to upload. Any other having this issue?

have you tried changing it to a jpg and seeing if that works? ok scrub that, I didn't comprehend the post first time around.

have you tried putting the pic in a different directory on your hard drive - try something higher up the menu tree, it could be something as simple as you've blown the file path length and so it can't load it

the largest size allowed for marketplace is 700 pixels I think?

Also make sure that the name of your items is letters and numbers only - non alphanumeric characters sometimes will not upload and you get no error message. So prettything v 2.png will work but prettything#2.png will not.

Thanks so much guys! I didn't know about the alphanumeric name thing. I could fix the problem.

Yeah I only found that out by trial and error - I wish LL would put that info in the error message or the instructions.

I go to the upload a pic I get the window but the prompt does nothing.  I don't even get to the point to select a picture because that window doesn't come up.  It's been like this for months now is there a fix?
