Neighbors particle effect intrudes on my home, is this abuse?

I just recieved my premium home to discover that a neighboring plot has a very annoying particle effect consisting of pictures raining from the sky. I would ignore this, but frequently the particles are visible even through my walls. Is there a way to disable seeing this effect or does this constitute abuse?

You can do any one of three things:

1. Talk with your neighbor and ask her politely to change the particle display.

2. Reduce your own draw distance (in Preferences) so that you can't see as far into your neighbor's parcel

3. Turn of ALL particles in your viewer temporarily with CTRL + Shift + Alt + = when you are at home.

Did your neighbour even put the particles there? Check if they have set their land up correctly, by that I mean its important to have autoreturn unless happy with strangers rezzing crap all over the place. Agree with Rolig I do, talk with neighbour is best way. You shouldn't have to turn off your particles.

If the pictures are offensive there's a very good chance that your neighbor may not be responsible for that object. They may have set their lot so that other people can rezz objects. The particles should have an object, probably invisible, as a source. Try to locate that object and then mute/block that object's owner.

Yes. Check the pictures. I think there is no autoreturn set to the land and someone has rezzed something offensive. try to contact owner of land first, because LL can be slow, but it is an case for an abuse report if its racist content or may be bringing down the performance of the sim, or is impeding movement, or is encroaching into your space.
