Is SecondLife compatible with Linux?

I may have to switch my OS to Lynix and I'm wondering if I will still be able to access SecondLife.   Can someone please tell me if I can still come to SL while using Linux?   Thank you.

You will need to download and install the Linux version of whatever viewer you choose.  Otherwise, yes, you should be able to enter SL with it.  Many people do.

Yes, it's possible - there are Linux versions of most viewers. However, Linux isnt' the sort of environment that people can go into quickly and expect to have everything work at first try,and there are a variety of different Linux distributions that all do things slightly differently. Before you make a jump like this you should probably do a fair amount of research first. (Here's where I whisper gently, "Including how to spell it.")

Yes, quite readily.  In fact, Debian Linux is what the Lindens run.

I had a lot of troubles in making run viewer on 64 Linux (Ubuntu family).  No reliable information in official viewer nor in firestorm. Insteaf, it worked withj Kokua immediatly. Thank Kokua !
