I keep losing Music

I recently changed to Firestorm. I noticed that at some sims, I lose music constantly. Its breaking up and I have to toggle over and over again to make it work again.

Does anyone has any idea why it happens?

Your Maximum Bandwidth setting (Preferences >> Internet & Cache) may be way too high. It should never be set higher than about 75% of your measured download bandwidth (http://speedtest.net/ ). For most people, thats about 1200-1500 kB/sec.  (700-1000 kB/sec if you are on wireless --- which is a bad idea for other reasons.)

Ok, so I opened the link, and tried the speedtest... what am I suppose to do after it?

Take your results in KB, times it by .75 then in Preferences > Setup > Maximum Bandwidth change that number to what your bandwidth in KB times .75 is.

 

If your answer was in MB times that by 1024 to get Kilobytes

Also, did you try logging out and back in again? That sometimes helps.

Logging in and out everytime it happens? I might as well delete SL... it happens every couple of minutes.

No not every time, I just meant the once.

 

Why don't you try V3, I get better results with it over Firestorm.

 

Firestorm is great though, I am just saying for me personally on my system I get better performance with V3, you might also.

Have you even tried adjusting your bandwidth setting yet?
