Using firestorm viewer, I derender most of people at the sim I am to avoid lag, doing it this way, on people's tab, right clicking + ctrl selecting each one at a a time, then derender, is there a way to select everyone instead of having to click everyone?

As Rolig says, there's no way to bulk derender. But, you may be able to reduce lag by setting the maximum number of non-imposter avatars to a very small number. You change that setting in Preferences->Graphics. You can control the distance at which impostering starts using the Avatars slider under Level of Detail (LOD) distance factors.

I often run with Max # of non-imposter avatars set to... one! Of course that means I'm the only avatar that renders fully for me, but when I'm building or chatting across SL, that's not a problem.

If you derender all the people there be no one to talk to or to ask for help.

So once preferences is open. Preferences->Graphics

open the hardware tab, and untick anti-aliasing box.

that will help redue the lag.

also click the Knowledge Base tab, go to page 2.

at the bottom of the page, click How to improve viewer performance.

follow Boston Linden and Rand Linden tips, that will help cut down the lag.
