more prims for my Linden home?

Hello hollyanne. You don't buy exactly more prims. You buy another bigger land where you will have more prims. More about it and also about the discount you will have if you don't use your small land with your house at the following link:

Unfortunately, you can't.

512 lots have 117 prims. Period.

At least the house itself does not count in the prim allowance.

You cannot get more than 117 prims in your Linden home. Prim count is related to the size of the parcel. Your prim count in a Linden home does include the house, which is a bonus.

You can not purchase or acquire any more prims for your Linden home.  117 is what you get.  You can purchase a 512sqm parcel and abandon the little Linden home and not be charged for tier, however a 512sqm parcel will have 117 prims total and WITHOUT a house.  You can purchase a 1024 parcel and get 237 prims and only pay $5 tier (512sqm) provided you abandon your Linden home.

Unless you're prepared to rent a larger parcel and use some of its prim allotment to build a new house, you're stuck with what you have.  Now is a good time to learn how to budget prims.  You can do a remarkable amount of decorating with 117 prims.  Before you buy an item from a shop in world, select it with your Edit tool and check on its General page to see how many prims the item has.  On Marketplace, check the product description for the same information. Do a quick calculation to see what pecentage of your total allotment you will be using if you rez the item in your house.  A 45 prim flower arrangement is not wise; a 10 prim bed might be; a 3 prim sculpty sofa definitely is.  The longer you are in SL, the more prim-conscious you will become, and the smarter you will be about living within your prim budget.
